Supervised by Prince

Prince in action

Santa Cruz Cruise

I had the good fortune to sail around Santa Cruz with Bill and Gail Varie on Gailey's Galley, their brand new Hunter 33. The boat's name says it all - almost all - as I gained 5 pounds in three days.

Bill is a nationally published photographer and I usually get the lens-end of the camera pointed in generally the right direction myself. Over the next few days, you'll see some of what we saw. Eventually, I will compile our pics into something useful - a supplement to our local cruising guides and the Coast Pilot. Though the verbiage in those is most excellent, the pictures are few and somtimes a bit hard to interpret. So between Bill, Dave Lewis and all of my other friends who are steady enough to shoot we'll put together a web-based supplement to the guides and a local ASA 104 supplement as well.

The whole project will be supervised by Prince.
